Saturday - March 7, 2009 - 2pm</B><BR><BR>Providence: The Camera Werks at
766 Hope St., Providence, will be hosting a Digital Photo Workshop on Saturday,
March 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. with award-winning newspaper photographer, Omar
Bradley. This two-session workshop is aimed at improving your digital
picture taking skills and instilling confidence in the world of digital
photography. Do you Jpeg or Tiff? Do megapixels really make a
difference? This afternoon workshop is geared towards simplifying and
assisting all digital camera users in how to achieve the results they desire
with some easy tips from this veteran photojournalist. Cost is $80.00 for
two sessions. The first session on March 7 will
include lighting, composition, image resolution and digital photo
technique. The second session will be held on Saturday, March
14 and will include on-location shooting and tips on taking great photos
with your digital camera. Space is limited - and early registration is

years. His work has received numerous awards from several prestigious
organizations, some of which include the New England Press Association as well
as Suburban Newspapers of America. Over the years, Bradley's photographic
career has spanned throughout New England, where his work as a newspaper
photographer for the Providence Journal, the Pawtucket Times and the Fall River
Herald News has earned him recognition. Bradley considers himself to be "a
socially conscious news photographer who enjoys doing picture stories aimed at
making people aware of other cultures, environment and their role in the
community". <BR><BR>The Camera Werks brings a unique hands-on approach to
photography by incorporating local professional photographers in a classroom
experience or photo workshop setting to share their techniques. These
photo workshops have included working with several of Rhode Island's public
and private schools in addition to working with the senior residents at
both Laurelmead Assisted Living Facility and Hamilton House in Providence.
