Dear Friend,
The new "Protecting Pets" group has been
formed to address concerns about the effects
on pets (and wildlife) of toxic chemicals
in everyday life and products. It will have
its first meeting this Wednesday, January 21,
at 7 p.m. at the office of Dr. Tim Rivinas,
35 Angell Street, Providence. We urge you
to attend, if possible, to provide your input
on the activities and issues to pursue.
Also, please mark your calendar for the
talk TIP is sponsoring about pets & toxics
during the RI Flower & Garden Show at the
Convention Center: Veterinarian Vincent
Seccareccia will speak at 5 p.m., Saturday,
February 21, 2004 on: "How to Keep a
Pet-Safe Yard" (Plants Poisonous to Pets
& Critter Caustic Chemicals).
Please contact Liberty Goodwin, TIP Director,
