Peter,

The tree program determines the tree species for you.  They only use trees suitable for street planting.  At least that is what they did on our street a number of years ago!

Do you have wires on your side of the street?  If so a small flowering tree is best.  I'm a red maple fan myself.

Is the free tree program still going on? If so, is 
anyone participating?
 
I live on 11th street and I'd like to get a small 
tree on the sidewalk in front on my house. Any and all suggestions for tree
