No. The folks who met yestereday decided that we needed several more
community meetings and a survey in the SNA newsletter to elicit more
community response. Where in Lippitt came up, but also the thought that
there may not be any appropriate space there. Other parks in the
neighborhood were also mentioned, as was the thought that every community
garden in the city has a waiting list, and we can be sure that if a garden
is created in Lippitt park, no matter how much opposition there is, there
will be a waiting list for it too.
Most definitley the 10 people who attended the meeting want a garden
somewhere, but be are happy to defer to the wider wisdom as to where.
Hopefully everyone will help us choose, and some community consensus can
emerge on how best more food can be grown in our neighborhood. Greg gerritt
