We have Andersen windows in our bedroom and upstairs bath dating from roughly 1984. While the windows themselves are intact, the hand cranks that open and shut the windows are mostly broken. My husband's called around and discovered that no one wants to install hardware unless they can sell us a new set of windows, which we don't need.
Has anybody had a comparable problem and found a contractor who can install new hand cranks? Thanks, as ever, for the collective wisdom and experience!
