It looks like the old route went to the Shaw's off Ann Mary street and they
are abandoning that in favor of going to the hospital. The path through Mt.
Hope and to downtown appears basically the same. I'm wondering what good
this route does? It used to help people from a poorer neighborhood where
there were many without cars or funds for taxis to do grocery shopping. Now
I'm not sure what it accomplishes beyond what some combination of 99, 42 and
the existing Miriam shuttles do. Maybe this is one bus route that should
simply be eliminiated. Maybe increase frequency on one or both of the other
routes.
