I’m curious, did you at least get a response to your fax you’d sent in 7 years ago?

The city of Rhode Island has an application for sidewalk repair on their web site; I believe you can fax it in. I applied for repair about 7 years ago, and then again a few months ago. I do not know what the timeframe is, and am similarly interested in hearing about other folks' experiences getting their sidewalks fixed.

With regard to this post..I have uneven sidewalks due to tree roots that are pushing it up...this makes it difficult for people wheeling carriages - etc...and is especially dangerous during the winter months when it is covered over. Who do you call on this matter--suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

To walkers and drivers,
It is great the work that has been done with respect to the Lippitt Park
Fountain.
Regarding the safety of walking for all in our neighborhood, there needs to
be an overhaul of the uneven sidewalks. For out-of-town visitors, the
deplorable conditions send out a bad message.
What time frame does one have to wait to have curbs stones (mine, in
particular) be repaired?
Ten years ago, after purchasing my house, an application was filed with the
city (going through the proper steps) to repair the curb stone. To this day,
after many calls to various City Hall Departments, NOTHING has been done;
thus my vehicles have sustained damages.
Would someone like to shed some light on this issue as was done with the
fountain, i.e. preventative medicine for the vehicles as well as being able
to safely walk, and enjoy the neighborhood.
Have a good one,
M.D.
