Dear Neighbors,
I am so sorry that all of you have had this experience, I know how unsettling it is.
I have taken note of the recent car breaks that are listed here and will report them during the upcoming Crime Watch Meeting scheduled for March 20th at The Miriam Hospital at 6:30p.m. in the Hurvitz Board Room. I encourage all three of you to attend, and to invite your neighbors to join you.
Sadly, my experience is that you can not leave any personal item of significance in your vehicle in Providence. While crime is relatively low in Summit neighborhood, there are still crimes of opportunity regularly committed. Breaks most often happen when someone sees the opportunity to steal something that is visibly left in cars, or laptops and electronic equipment visible through your home windows from the street. Of course, we all know this instinctivly, but sometimes "life gets busy" and we let our guards down. Unfortunetly, that is when those incidents of break-ins occur. I know personally how this feels as two and a half years ago my home was broken into and my laptop and other personal items were stolen, my apartment completely rummaged through. I was one of the only houses on my street without a security system and or a dog. I still prefer not to install a security system, although I am more careful about leaving items out in plain
view.
If you have not reported these incidents to Lt. Schuvulli, I highly recommend that you do so for his awareness of these incidents. He can be reached at dschiavulli at providenceri.com.
I will forward this section of the blog to him.
Again, let me say that I am so sorry that all of you have had this experience, it's a terrible feeling.
Sincerely,
Monica Anderson

Another one to add...
My downstairs neighbor (42 Burlington) had his windshield smashed and Ipod stolen while the car was parked in our garage behind the house.? There was a concrete block left on the driveway that they may have used to smash the windshield.? I believe this was Friday night as well.

Everyday we fight against or about something local.
Your health is local and is bigger than anything else.
You should watch the movie
FOOD, INC
You will be surprise how we are not protected at all as we should.
Ours health is a big investment and learn to avoid more mistakes in or for your body.
