I haven't hired Michael but I did take a class he taught @ RISD. Michael created the garden/patio at Olga's Cup and Saucer. He's pretty awesome and definitely knows his stuff. Not sure how much he charges or if he does small jobs, but here is his website with more info:

I want to have a brick pathway built, and some minor changes to a stone patio done. It’s not a big job. I have bought plants from Evergreen Nursery and Landscape Service in Seekonk for years, and like them very much. Has anyone used them for landscaping and if so, would you recommend them? Any other recommendations for small brick and cobble stone projects?
