[Summit] house painter recommendation wanted

I would check for lead paint FIRST- I got a simple ~$10 test kit at Adler's
a few years ago.
Our landlord had hired some painters for the exterior who told him our house
did NOT have lead paint, and they then went to work scraping & making a
mess. But our window trim was white and I became even more suspicious when
they took MY tarps OFF of my vegetable pots to cover the ground on the side
of the house where they could be seen working from the street.
They had lied to get the work and then we had REAL mess to clean up, AND
they walked off the job when confronted (after showering me in obscenities
for checking up on them).
AND by the way- LEAD was used in OTHER PAINT PIGMENTS (in white & pastel
colors) and with the help of even low levels of caustic air pollutants &
sun- has been found to leach out from some:
plastic siding,
aluminum siding
white plastic venetian blinds
(BTW Deborah Hirschon is certified as a lead paint removal contractor- if
that becomes relevant.)
Good luck.
