[Summit] Blue Bin Recycling - caps

I emailed RIRRC about the issue of caps for jars and bottles, since there were so many opinions as to how it should be done. Here's the response I just got:

 
Thank you for writing! Here you go:
 
Plastic caps: Leave on the bottle, jug, or container; Replace the caps on the item with just enough twist to keep them secure.
Metal lids: Remove from jar, place lids and jars in the bins.
 
I don’t think there’s any instructions to never place the caps in the bins. Residents may be remembering the old rule.
