-"So who is this Dean."

Hi Fr Eng, I am that Dean. Nice to meet you.

I hesitate to even respond here. But come on, you used my name, so I feel
I must at least say something.

I get it. You clearly have no idea what actually happened with the
fountain project and those trees. And for some reason you are trying to
act like you do. I know you don't know what you are talking about, because
I knew everyone at the meeting where the plan was presented to us by the
Providence Parks Dept, and you were not one of them. It is odd that you
talk like you were there, because you most definitely were not.

The plan was presented to us. We thought it looked good. We did not
recognize that the trees' removal was part of the plan. A neighbor (one
who had sat on the SNA board in the past and who sits on that board now)
noticed the trees coming down, and he took it upon himself to help save
them. He inspired the neighborhood, including SNA, to stand up for the
trees. Thankfully he did that. But once again, it was not our project at
that point in time. We raised awareness in the project, raised some funds,
and handed it off to the Parks Dept. I think everyone learned a lesson.

Anyway, here we are years later. Please do me a favor and make an effort
to meet the people who's names you throw around in your emails. We are
right here. There are countless opportunities to come say hello or to
reach out in some other way. We are a volunteer organization, and having
our names trampled on this listserv should not be part of the deal unless
we do something that actually offends you and you have undergone at least
some truthful due diligence to determine whether that offense is true or
not.

And common courtesy would have you leaving your real name when using other
people's names.

Sincerely,
Dean
