Providence has the ProvConnex app. You may want to try that.

We are happy to have 8th Street plowed! But somehow in the process of making the turn from Sarah they put 5 feet of snow on our sidewalk. There really is no way we can clear it. Would the city, do you think, send a crew to dig it out. And if so who might we call? l. Elizabeth Grossman

Yes it is a lot, but also the small trucks that were out for the small streets last night were unable to do some of them.

I watched one try to do 6th street between Hope & Miriam Hosp, around midnight and he kept getting stuck, and it looked like he was doing all the right things. He gave up and another pickup truck came. This one also backed up & took a running start and he got through the beginning, but he fish tailed this way & that and almost ended up in a neighbor's back yard. It took him about 10 minutes to get down the first block.

This morning I walked there, and some scuffing the snow revealed thick ice under neath most of that particular block.

8th St, from hope to summit, just got plowed at about 2pm. It was a total mess until recently. I think they are just overwhelmed.

Hope they come by soon!

Hi all,

I know in past years, Providence had a number to call if your street wasn't plowed after a storm. Does that still exist? If so, does anybody have the number/website? I live on 11th toward North Main and it's still knee high. Not sure if ours is a secondary road they haven't gotten to yet, but I just want to get it on the list if nobodyhas yet.

Thanks,
Pete
