Eben Moglen is fantastic, and so on the mark. I deleted my Facebook several years ago as a result of one too many privacy sharing "innovations" on their part. Why should they be making money off my personal interests and connections again? And employing techniques to make sure I come back to their site and share more? (Google is certainly already doing enough of that.)


That said, everyone must have an email address in order to use Facebook. Not everyone with an email address has a Facebook account.
I would recommend using Facebook as a marketing tool, but not as a main forum for discussion.
