Mrs B,
I am not disputing your links. I will read them.
One advantage of ZPac is that you take it for only 5 days. In the past, it was necessary to take a script for 14 days to ensure full effect of the antibiotic. Then it stayed in your system for another week. Many people did not take the drugs for the full course which could lead to relapse.
I don't know why you were given the drug but the flu and pneumonia can have long lasting fatigue effects while your body fully heals. This is independent of any antibiotic taken.

Subject: [Summit] Neighborly WARNING re: antbiotic Zithromax
If your doctor prescribes zithromax, azithromycin, ZPac for you- please double check it is necessary & safe
It can disrupt your heart rhthyms, which is uncomfortable, can be very disabling and occasionally fatal.
The warning came out last spring but was not well publicized
(what pharmaceutical company wants to damage the reputation of one of their most popular drugs?)
And I ended up taking a drug I never should have.
Which also has a long half life- meaning 3 weeks after stopping it is still in my system.
I can not exert myself in any way, and if I do, it takes hours to recover, like I ran a marathon.
I am just posting this to possibly save someone else.
