Our basement is so cold.  (All together now: how cold is it?)  It's so cold that we could probably use if for food storage.


During our home energy audit, we were advised to replace the door (which looks like it was installed sometime in the 13th century, complete with heavy iron crossbar securing it from the inside) between the basement and the bulkhead.  Can anybody recommend a good carpenter?
