I promised the organizer I'd pass this along:

On Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 1-5pm the Rochambeau Library will be hosting
the first Human Library in New England.

" A human library is a living, breathing library where humans are the books
and the stories are their lives. Human Books are people who have volunteered
to tell their personal story and answer questions about their life and
experiences."

You'll be able to "check out" a human book for a 20 minute conversation,
return it and check out another. Some of the books include life experiences
of refugees from Africa or the killing fields of Cambodia, tattoo artist,
pacifist, socialist, anarchist, chemotherapy patient, former felon in a
wheelchair, and more.

The project is a collaboration between the Barrington Public Library, East
Providence Public Library and the Providence Community Library. It is made
possible through support of the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities.
