Hello Summit Neighbors, 

Having been the victim of thefts from our vehicles a few times over the past few years, I would highly suggest calling the police and asking them to come to your home if your property has been vandalized in any way. Most importantly: Make sure that you ask the responding officer for a case report id number. This ensures that the reported crime is filed and counts toward neighborhood incidents.

Hi - given the recent theft activities in the area, here are a few suggestions for us to keep in mind that people have shared with me. 

1) If you see something suspicious, call the police, right away. You can dial 911 and tell them it's not an emergency, but there's been a lot of theft recently and you saw something suspicious.  

2) As someone else mentioned, if something is stolen from your car or home, report it to the police.  They need to know in order to see patterns and to help.  

3) Remember that we live in an urban area, and lock your car doors and house windows.
