I just met with Marcus for an hour at 3 Sisters, Mona, and I wholeheartedly agree. I presume this isn't the place for people to endorse candidates, so I won't do that -- but all of my worries were put to rest this morning, and then some.

be well,

There are different ways one can look at his work with Santorum. It could be a good thing in that he possibly was gaining experience within a framework that does not reflect his/our ideological ideals. Being in places and surroundings that allow us insight to different views may not be a bad thing.

I enjoyed reading about Mr. Mitchell's experience on LinkedIn.

People may be interested to know that he currently serves as the Small Business representative on the State Planning Council. SPC representatives review and approve state plans that set policy for economic development, energy, land use, etc. In that capacity, he would bring the Summit neighborhood additional influence.

Speaking of which, State Planning Council has a preliminary draft of an update to the State's Solid Waste Management Plan out for review - a plan with more direct impact on daily life than most. If you're interested, you might start with the Executive summary.
State of Rhode Island: Division of Planning: Solid Waste

Cheers,
