Public Meeting Blackstone Boulevard Traffic Calming Proposal
Monday, November 30, 2015
A Public Meeting has been scheduled to present Preliminary Plans for a proposal to install traffic calming measures along Blackstone Boulevard. The meeting will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015, at 6:30PM in the auditorium of the Nathan Bishop School located at: 101 Sessions St., Providence, RI.
[corner of Elmgrove, opposite Brown Stadium and the Jewish Community Center].
A request to install traffic calming measures along Blackstone Boulevard was presented to the Traffic Calming Advisory Group for review. As part of that review process this public meeting is being held to present the plan to the public and solicit comments and input from the neighborhood and others interested in the proposal.

On the following afternoon (next Tuesday 15 December) at 4:45 p.m., the City Plan Commission is holding its regular monthly meeting in the first-floor auditorium of the Doorley building, 444 Westminster Street at Empire (facing the Celtic Lounge/Finnegan's wake and AS 220).
The main topics are the Institutional Master Plan for Rhode Island Hospital and technical adjustments to the new Zoning Ordinance's sections about the Manufacturing zone.

Next month, on Tuesday, January 19th, 2016, the Commission will consider the Institutional Master Plan for Brown University, which includes the demolition of seven houses along Brook Street to be temporarily replaced with paid parking for Thayer Street businesses.
