[Summit] Ocean Tides-Van Stolen

The poor conditions of the side streets in the neighborhood were no deterrent for a bold prime-time grand theft of one of Ocean Tides vans last night.  At 8:30pm, someone in less than 45 seconds managed to pop the lock, quick start the van and smashed it through the locked gate on 9th Street. We called the police instantly and as expected, they showed up an hour later. I spoke to the folks at Ocean Tides this morning and learned that this was the 2nd van that has been stolen in 3 months. While the suspect can be seen on the school's surveillance tape, the police noted that this was "low priority" and arrest and/ or recovery is unlikely.
