On a different note from the threads here, if you're looking for a painter
for the inside of your house, I can highly recommend Patrick Malin. He did a
beautiful job of restoring our walls as well as painting == 226- 8332. Can
recommend colors for your home.

It seems in a way the flip side of civility, but total freedom of expression
has its downside. Does this approach the 'fir' in the theater?
The key to success as a community group is inclusiveness and equity. It's
not always easy. What kind of troubles does this indicate The mahatma said;
there will peace in the world when we find peace within ourselves.

Maybe save the condescension and the empty platitudes for the guys who are
nuking a beloved neighborhood institution from orbit for no reason except
that it seemed an easy way to line their already well-lined pockets? You
could try that instead of repeatedly wagging your anonymized finger at a
local email list because one guy called them "scum" -- a word which several
others, including myself, immediately questioned.
Also, you're attributing a Dalai Lama quote to Ghandi.

I have no dog in this fight besides that I don't like baseball and think a
stadium anywhere near downtown will create a hellstorm of traffic stupidity
that will make me want to die. However, I did want to chime in and thank
Chris for using an Aliens reference in this conversation.

I ran into a man today who clearly needed to talk. Turns out that his mother
was the owner of the house that burned at 690 Hope Street. Assuming that he
is who he says he was (I have no way of knowing for sure, but I believe
him), he says that his mother-- the lady from the fire-- died last night. I
wasn't clear if it was from effects of the fire or grief or old age. I don't
see an obituary online, but I figured other neighbors might want to know.

The crew who bought the Pawsox might not know how many people consider them
scum. They are probably beyond caring. They get more than enough fawning
respect on the news.
And they are not lurking here.
Apparantly, even in 2015, people seriously treasure this listserve for being
a rare space free of even rather mild four letter words. I can respect
that, as long as I can count on the same language police response when
someone refers to a burglar or car thief as scum!
