I'm old now, and I don't like to go out much in the evening any longer,
especially when it's cold.  But in principle I tend to agree with Peter and
Emlyn.  What the mayor is proposing appears to be not so much a community
event, as a pretext to give an economic boost to local businesses..  The
original First Nights / Bright Nights were community events.  --  Bob M
