Cox will offer a "promotion" if you call and threaten to cancel. Cost of
getting a new customer is high and they will work with you. You have to
mean it though, or at least sound like you do.

Hughes is know to be slow and expensive. The best website for this type of
research is: http://www.dslreports.com/

There are no affordable alternatives. Broadband companies have exclusivity
in a municipality. I would call it a monopoly. Verizon, Cox and Highes can
exist together because they are different technologies, fiber,cable and
satellite respectively.

FYI, the Trump administration is gutting FCC rules relating to broadband.
