However, here is what the city website says:

Yard Waste Pickup Service Extended One Week

PROVIDENCE, RI – The City’s yard waste pickup service has been extended to
December 18, 2015 to accommodate residents whose leaves have fallen later
than usual.

Yard debris should be left curbside on recycling and trash collection days.
Clippings, leaves and sticks should be placed in open barrels or paper yard
waste bags. Larger sticks and trimmings must be cut to 4-feet or smaller
and tied together. Yard debris may not be placed in plastic bags.

Residents are reminded not to place leaf and yard waste into recycling bins.
