4:00 p.m.-  City Plan Commission subcommittee onzoning the W. Broadway/Fed. Hill/Downtown corridor  -- 1st floor conf. room of the Doorley bldg,444 Westminster St. at Empire (this replaces the full Commission meetingthat would otherwise meet at 4:45). • Wednesday 20 Sept.

 

6 p.m. - Former residents recall the LippittHill neighborhood (now University Heights) - auditorium of the Prov. Public(main) Library, 150 Empire Street at Washington

5 - 9 p.m. - GalleryNight Providence -- various museums and schools around the city (newshows at the Providence Art Club on Thomas St., and the Chazan Gallery atWheeler School, Angell at Hope)

10 a.m. - 6 p.m. - Doors Open Rhode Island Festival-- free public access to over twenty usually-closed or seldom-visited parts ofhistoric places on the East Side, West Side and Downtown, including City Hall,the State House, the Columbus Theatre, the Benefit St. Arsenal, Ladd Observatory,Grace Church, Beneficent
