The High Cost of Inadequate Housing
Tuesday, May 1, 6pm, at 29 Bainbridge Avenue, Providence

At our May Neighborhood Nights event, Annette Bourne, Research & Policy Director of HousingWorks RI (HWRI) at Roger Williams University, will give a presentation on the cost of housing in Rhode Island, how it impacts our community and economy, and approaches and outcomes in other communities that are facing housing and affordability challenges.

*PLEASE NOTE: we will be meeting upstairs in the gym, directly above the cafeteria where we normally meet, to accommodate another event scheduled at the school. Entrance is on the same (left) side of building as other meetings.

After the presentation, explore one of our neighbor-led committees from 7-8pm. Committee highlights include a continued discussion on affordable housing with HWRI and Housing Network of Rhode Island at a joint meeting of C1C and CDC, a visit with Councilor Jo-Ann Ryan about next steps for the plastic bag ban at Green Initiatives, and updates on upcoming improvement projects for Dexter Training Ground at West Side Parks. Summaries of all May Committee meetings here.

Our monthly Neighborhood Nights meetings include free food, childcare, and Spanish translation. ALL ARE WELCOME.
