Savvy Women's Alliance Providence Chapter, Toxics Action Center,
Conservation Law Foundation and The Whale Guitar Project as we come together
for a free viewing of Stephanie Soechtig's documentary, THE DEVIL WE KNOW on
Thursday, January 24th at 5:30pm at the Rochambeau Library. Get your free

NW> . The documentary will take you on a journey with a of group of
citizens in West Virginia as they take on a powerful corporation that
knowingly dumped PFAS, a class of toxic chemicals into the drinking water
supply. These substances, developed to make non-stick coatings, cosmetics,
waterproof clothing, take out containers and more, spread from this stream
to local waterways and is found in the bloodstreams of fish, wildlife, and
humans. Come view this important film and learn about what Clean Water
Action and other local environmental groups are doing to fight toxins in our
region. Following the viewing we will discuss how to avoid PFAS and will
share simple steps to protect yourself, your family and our local
