This event is the final part of three collaborative events with the RISD Museum and part of the 150 artists' multidisciplinary works on exhibition at the Wedding Cake House in Providence. Ruffles, Repair & Ritual: the Fine Art of Fixing, celebrates the extensive renovation of the Wedding Cake House into a cultural facility that will support an Artist in Residence program and expansion of the Dirt Palace, a feminist art space going strong in Providence since 2000.

On view in our Maxwell Mays Gallery, we will have a Retrospective honoring longtime Art Club Member Al Albrektson, who recently turned 100. On view will be works from Al's long career, including pieces on loan from Amica Insurance, the Art Club Collection, and private collectors.
On view in the Mary Castelnovo Gallery, we will have a collection of work focused on Maine by Al's close friend James Myette.
On view in our Dodge House Gallery, we are thrilled to present an exciting exhibition of work by young artists in our Scholarship Exhibition. Prizewinners will be announced. This exhibition was made possible through the generosity of the Glucksman Family.
These exhibitions will continue through Friday, November 1.

Join the Art Club's Gallery Manager for a fun and informative tour which will take you behind-the-scenes at one of the nation's oldest arts organizations. Founded in 1880 to promote art culture within the City of Providence, the Art Club is housed in a procession of historic buildings that make up one of the most picturesque streetscapes in Providence. This tour will take visitors into our Galleries, Café, Classrooms, and Studios.
All are welcome to this free, public program, but space is very limited and reservations are required to attend. Reserve your space with Michael via email at michael at providenceartclub.org.
