| We are scheduled to detour Route 102 North at the Mohegan Bridge in Burrillville for its replacement beginning Friday, April 23. It will be in effect until the end of 2022. Southbound traffic will not be affected.

| We are scheduled to close two lanes for barrier installation on both sides of I-95 Monday-Wednesday nights to continue our repair work for the Broadway, Westminster Street, Washington Street and Broad Street bridges. Periodic ramp closures are also possible. Follow signed detours. |

| Henderson Bridge, East Providence/Providence |

| There will be alternating one-way traffic on East River Street in Providence under the Henderson Bridge for pre-demolition activities. We are also scheduled to continue excavation prior to demolition of the closed ramp from Massasoit Avenue to the Henderson Bridge and demolition of the steel beams over land adjacent to Waterfront Drive. Lane closures are not needed for these operations. |

| I-95 North Viaduct, Providence |

| Next week we are working over Amtrak prior to demolition on I-95 North on Sunday and Monday nights. Our planned weekday activities include readying the area for construction vehicle access on Route 6, making abutment repairs to the Charles Street and Ashburton Street bridges, and installing shoring towers prior to bridge demolition on Providence Place East and Promenade Street West. |

| Concrete work and installing reinforcing steel are planned at the bridge deck next week, along with drainage, highway lighting, and granite curbing installation on I-95 and Route 138. We are also scheduled to continue lengthening the acceleration lanes to make it easier for merging traffic.  |

| After finishing installation for the bridge curbing, next week we are scheduled to place forms prior to installing the next section of concrete for the bridge deck. We’ll also be preparing for sidewalk construction. |

| In addition to the ongoing traffic pattern, a weekday right-lane closure is scheduled along Route 5 South, from Knight Street to Shalom Drive, for work on the Pontiac Bridge and drainage installation along Route 5.  |

| Route 6/10 Interchange Reconstruction, Providence |

| Weekdays, we plan to install storm drain components along the Route 10 median, do superstructure deck work on the Broadway and the Route 10 North to Route 6 West flyover bridges, and install deck forms and steel reinforcement on the Tobey Street Bridge. Next Saturday, we are scheduled to cast the flyover bridge deck with daytime left lane closures on both Route 6 East and Route 10 South. Get additional project information here. |

This event is part of our monthly “Art & Science in the Park” series with 15 Minute Field Trips, focusing on community action to protect wildlife, promote biodiversity, and combat climate change. Learn about local flora and fauna through art and science activities.  Great for families or to use in the classroom. Stay longer to enjoy the park, pick up litter, or use your new knowledge to educate others.
