Zoning 101

Can you build that here? How did that housing project get the green light? Do I live in a historic district?
Whether you’re an urbanist or simply curious about how things work, the Department of Planning and Development is excited to offer a virtual coffee hour series for Providence residents. Led by guest experts, each gathering will cover topics essential to the planning process.
The inaugural event, Zoning 101, will walk attendees through the basics of common zoning regulations and the boards and commissions that review the process along the way. Bob Azar, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Development and members of the Current Planning and Inspection and Standards teams will help lead the discussion. We hope you can join us for our first conversation on Wednesday, April 28 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM on Zoom.
This event is free and open to the public but pre-registration is required. To register, please follow this link: http://bit.ly/DPD_Zoning101
