[Summit] Pawtucket hearing

Forrest, Greg and all.
What is most disturbing to me about the hearing, and I did not do any
homework prior to listening so I’m not entirely knowledgeable about this
proposal, is the inability of the public to make a serious difference in
the outcome.

A huge obstacle to meaningful participation is incomplete knowledge of the
process. As was stated at the end of the meeting by a woman whom I imagine
is the city attorney (does anyone know) is that a prior zone change
approval made the decision inevitable.

I have staffed zillions of these meetings in Connecticut. If there is
interest I can explain to you why the input and objections raised by the
public were by and large doomed.
