Hello, 

 

Our organization, the Stormwater Innovation Center [stormwaterinnovation.org], is a regional nonprofit affiliated with the Audubon Society of Rhode Island. Through our collaborative relationships, we have established a number of initiatives related to water quality and green infrastructure. One of our focus areas is public education and outreach - especially related to how people can help with stormwater management at home and in their communities. 

 

We have released a short Stormwater PSA video to bring awareness to the public about stormwater runoff and management. The timing of this release coincides with many water body closures due to bacteria and cyanobacteria blooms stemming from stormwater runoff issues. Our goal is to bring awareness and offer resources to encourage behavior change. The video links to a Stormwater At Home [stormwaterinnovation.org] page on our website, which offers a number of ways individuals can help improve water quality in their communities.
