can't spend all their time ticketing, but if there is a pattern of strict
enforcement at a particular location (such as 4th and Hope) the word gets out
and maybe the merchant will post a sign to let people know the

unsafe, with people routinely parked illegally outside the bank. Although
tonight's meeting is specifically on the topic of long range neighborhood
planning, I do think this is something that should be taken up with
Traffic/Public Works/Police soon. </DIV>

ensue - due to poor signage, street marking, bad behavior, or chance. Please

appears, we can support a helpful neighbor in addressing it with the City.

vehicle was blocking the driveway <BR>on the Fourth Street side.<BR><BR>I was
forced to swing wide around the Dakota to turn into Fourth,<BR>and could not
see around it, so wound up running into a car<BR>coming down
Fourth on the other side of the street. <BR><BR>Those who live in
this area know that people are always<BR>parking near this corner while going
into the bank or<BR>Seven Stars (despite the latter's parking
lot). So, it is<BR>an ongoing dangerous situation.<BR><BR>The
policeman who came to take a report ticketed<BR>the Dakota - but if the street
near the corner was<BR>clearly marked NO PARKING or NO PARKING TO<BR>CORNER,
it wouldn't have been blocking my turn<BR>and my sightlines in the first
place. <BR><BR>Could someone please mention this to Mayor<BR>Cicilline at the
meeting tonight? I actually<BR>happened to see him when I went to
get a<BR>copy of the police report today, and briefly told<BR>him about the
problem, but if others tell him as <BR>well, action is more
likely.<BR><BR>And, after all, it could have been one of you<BR>trying to turn
