Along with Karen's note about the YMCA daycare and Hope High - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School is there as well, behind Clarke's current location, with many young kids walking to school, and many parents in cars and school buses navigating the area. It's the walking kids from all of the schools that raises the biggest concerns for me and other MLK parents.
The YMCA children's daycare center is very close to the Clarke's site,
and I've seen children being walked across the street to the Y and
back. I wonder what they think about the new business? More traffic
could pose a danger to the kids. I also wonder if/how the new business
would impact Hope High.
