<DIV>I'm all for making our tax dollars work. I live on Concord Street and about a little over four weeks ago my next door neighbors started parking their cars, friends cars and family members cars on the sidewalk not just in front of their house but down the sidewalk towards my house and driveway. On sunday nights I would put my trash out and Monday mornings I would find cars squeezed behind my trash barrels blocking so no one could walk on the sidewalk.</DIV>
<DIV> Each week I would called the police and they were ticketed. The last straw was on Friday, May 13th, when my daughter and her baby had left Lippitt Park, she figured nice day at the park, baby in the stroller, on her way home to our house, gets to Concord street, cars parked on the sidewalk here comes a vehicle from behind her moving at more than the allowed 25 miles mph almost striking her and the baby in the stroller. She couldn't move over enough because the cars were in the way and on the sidewalk.</DIV>
<DIV>I called the police from work instead of issuing out more tickets they made my neighbors and their friends move their cars. When I got home that evening my neighbors were waiting for me shouting vulgar obscentities, telling me that they were going to continue to park where they want and there was no law that states you can not park on a sidewalk. My feeling is that someone is going to get seriously hurt, there is a whole street, why park on the sidewalk. Today I am at a loss, my neighbors continue to park on the sidewalk, I stopped calling the police because of fear of retaliation (infant in the home) I can't afford  to put my family in harms way, but at the same time something needs to be done. Any suggestions?</DIV>

<DIV>If you feel that no one is patrolling the parking...Call the police, explain that there is/are illegally car/s there. They will send a patrol car to ticket the car/s.</DIV>
