That is because of the <br>allopathic, high tech and pharmaceutical company monopoly<br>of our medical system - and both government & private insurance.<br><br>Others save money and provide, statistically, far better health <br>results by using what WHO calls "a multiplicity of modalities".<br>Britain, for example, has five homeopathic hospitals, all covered<br>under the National Health. They've been spending $3,000 - $4,000<br>per capita for coverage of ALL their citizens. The U.S. has been<br>spending $12,000 to $14,000 per capita, with huge numbers <br>uninsured or underinsured ($4,000 or more deductibles). And<br>we are rated about number 37 in health vs. other countries.<br><br>I'm tempted some time to move to
Washington State, which <br>requires all health insurance companies there to cover all<br>licensed practitioners - including such as naturopaths, <br>homeopaths, etc. There is also a clinic at Bastyr University<br>in Seattle, the primo Naturopathic College in the U.S., where<br>seniors like myself can go for $15 a visit. Now, that is affordable!<br>It is also my preferred health care - but in other states, including<br>RI, without plenty of money, I have no say over treatment of my<br>own body when ill. They are also (thanks to health reform) offering health insurance to folks with pre-existing conditions (at prices comparable to those available for people without pre-existing conditions).<br>

AARP for 55 & above site has not been very helpful so far. Clicking on RI from the AARP site sent me to sites that don't even serve RI. Ugh!<br>
