How's about we find a couple of public access places where we can place some decent sized community bulletin boards, maybe even w/ little rooflets if they're weather exposed, divide them into a few agreed upon categories: business cards, social events, community projects, whatever. Require painters tape instead of staples. Get a dozen or two people to volunteer to police or clean up the boards every 2 weeks, (or such) and maybe even find a business sponsor who would pay for the materials in return for sponsorship? We'd need permission for a few strategically located positions for them, and a volunteer crew to build and install them? A lot of this was Judith's idea, I just added some details.<BR>

I'm envisioning maybe 3 along the Hope St. corridor, 1 near the city line, 1 near the N. end of the business district, and 1 near the S. end, just to pilot the idea. Perhaps the CVS parking lot, if they would be amenable? Worth asking. Any contacts? The park, or somewhere between India and the city line might be another good place.<BR>

PS I use to be very active in putting up flyers for certain events. I strongly believe people should just use places that are accepted posting spots, and NOT post willy nilly.<BR>

There are lots of local press media to reach target groups for events, also. Consider the several senior magazines, East Side Monthly, church & synagogue newsletters & papers. <BR>
