I am delighted to hear that traffic calming is once again being perceived<br>
as a blessing rather than a curse. As one who longed for my daughter to be<br>
able to walk safely across Hope so she could play with the little girl on<br>
the opposite side of the street, I still feel happier when she (now 15)<br>
crosses with a friend to the 42 inbound stop every morning.<br>
<br>
We live north of 5th, where traffic on Hope historically accelerated to<br>
warp speed. I've actually been digging the construction, as I have<br>
all-wheel drive, and people can no longer speed through our neighborhood<br>
without destroying their cars...<br>
