Anyone who hasn't voted yet should preview the ballot online: http://sos.ri.gov
or while standing in line (it's posted on the wall at polling places)

For details about the City Charter questions (8-18), see explanations here:
Yes, there are many questions, but you aren't required to vote on every line of the ballot. Some were about gambling,t borrowing, and many for City Charter "procedural votes" .

Personally, I had read the ballot and the explanations ahead of time, and it still took a couple minutes to go through the ballot. I made sure I had all the candidates selected correctly, then moved into the long questions section.

Good thing there weren't any math or essay questions on today's test of democracy !!!! :)

Douglas
Ridiculously long wait at Summit polling on Hillside. Came this morning was told the wait was up to two hours. I'm back, to try again. Long line at 3:20. This is no way to run a democracy. If I can't get out if here in less them an hour I am going to have to forfeit my right to vote. It wasn't like this when we voted at Fire station. Any thoughts on who was behind this change?

The biggest problem is that they only have 2 lines: A-L and M-Z (the latter ALWAYS being shorter). Folks? How about 4 lines? 6 lines? They'd need more voting booths, for starters.
