Presented by the Friends of the North Burial Ground, with support from the Providence Parks Department and the North Burial Ground Project at Rhode Island College, the theatrical and historical event will take place from 4-7 pm. </span></p><br><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.2;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"times new roman";vertical-align:baseline">The organizers suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes and bringing a flashlight, since the cemetery gets quite dark after sunset. Light Halloween snacks will be served.</span></p><br><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.2;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"times new roman";vertical-align:baseline">Small group tours of approximately one hour in length will begin at about 4:30 pm, and will depart every 15 minutes or so, with the last tour leaving at about 5:45 pm. Your tour guide will lead you by lantern light on a walk from grave to grave at dusk and you’ll listen to stories of the lives (some long, some short!) and deaths (some natural, some violent!) of a number of residents of the cemetery. </span></p><br><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.2;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"times new roman";vertical-align:baseline">You’ll hear from costumed re-enactors about murder, lost love, and young men at war and at sea, far from home. If you attended this event last year, you’ll be pleased to know that a few old favorites from last year will be joined by a number of new characters—we continue to “unearth” new stories! The tour content and themes are aimed at an adult audience.
