<div style="margin-bottom:.0001pt;"><span style="line-height:107%;">The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) wants to remind travelers today, January 20, 2019, that as the afternoon progresses, weather conditions will deteriorate and become increasingly dangerous. </span></div>

<div style="margin-bottom:.0001pt;"><span style="line-height:107%;">Between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. temperatures will start to drop quickly. Rain that has fallen will turn to ice and roads will become dangerous. RIDOT crews will work diligently to keep the roads clear with our de-icing operations but the sudden drop in temperature will create slippery roads and treacherous driving conditions. </span></div>
