A school could also be permitted in an R (residential) zone. </span><span style="font-family:tahoma, sans-serif;">The few lots on the map (north side of Whitmarsh) will not be in the C2 zone but will become R2. Some restrictions were added to the plan including no group facilities, liquor stores or drug treatment facilities. <br></span><span style="font-size:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-family:tahoma, sans-serif;">While most neighbors seem to approve of the proposed school, many question the necessity of the C2 zoning extending into the neighborhood and bordering an historic district.
