The commission is going around the state soliciting public input about "communities of interest" it should consider when drawing the new state legislative and congressional boundaries. This is the only hearing in Providence before the first maps come out in a few weeks.</div><div><br></div><div>Monday, October 18th, 6 pm at Providence Career and Technical Center auditorium</div><div><br></div><div>I believe the Summit neighborhood is the type of community of interest they are looking for. In past redistricting cycles the East Side has been gerrymandered in a way that split neighborhoods. I worked with a RISD faculty member to make this video last year illustrating an infamous gerrymander of Mt.
