VanDerStad, and I'm the Vice President of the Summit Neighborhood Association. I'm reaching out today to make you aware of some redistricting changes that will affect our neighborhood. </div><div><br></div><div>As you may be aware, Rhode Island redraws its General Assembly districts to match current population growth and movement trends every ten years based on census data. Until now, the Summit Neighborhood has been completely located in Senate District 3, represented currently by State Senator Sam Zurier. In the latest proposed maps, the Summit Neighborhood is split down Hope Street, with Senate District 3 to the East and Senate District 15 to the West (currently represented by Senator Meghan Kallman). </div><div><br></div><div>Senator Zurier does an excellent job explaining the process and his perspectives in his newsletters on <a href="https://samzurier.com/december-9-2021-letter/" target="_blank">December 9</a> and <a href="https://samzurier.com/january-16-2022-letter/" target="_blank">January 16</a>. While the SNA has not taken a definitive stance on this proposal, some board members have expressed concern and thought it wise to bring the neighborhood's attention to the change. I encourage you to attend an upcoming meeting of the SNA if you wish to share your perspectives on this issue. </div><div><br></div><div>To learn more and stay in the loop about redistricting, you can go to <a href="http://riredistricting.org" target="_blank">riredistricting.org</a> and subscribe to the newsletter. </div><div><br></div><div>Thank you, </div><div><br clear="all"><div><div dir="ltr" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><b>Bradly J.
