[Summit] Tire slashing

I only heard indirectly, but apparently there was a rash of tire slashing
in this area last night. As many as 100 homes may have had their cars
vandalized. Police said that similar incidents have occurred recently in
Barrington and East Providence. If you saw anyone or anything last night
that might be connected to this, please call Lt. David Schiavulli our local
police commander: 243-6980.

I'll add an update on the library sign situation. At the last Zoning Board
of Review meeting, the Library presented a slightly scaled down design for
the sign honoring the Granoff family. From the Board's questions and
comments, I thought they would simply deny, but instead they agreed to
continue the matter again. The issue was not on the agenda for the upcoming
meeting of the ZBR and we have not heard from the PPL. Thanks to SNA
members Judith Shrier, Elianna Bresler, Eric Armey and Anisa Raouf as well
as the entire Board of the Friends of Rochambeau for taking time to stand
up for the neighborhood in this matter.

Oh, and a Happy New Year!
