The city is already considering resident permit parking. There
has been a pilot program in Washington Park over the last year and,
apparently, other programs are planned. Here's the press release:

I would hesitate to conclude from a discussion on a mailing list that
there is any kind of consensus. You might consider a petition, that's
what WBNA is doing in West Broadway.
