[Summit] snowblowing

I used to use my father's snowblower to do some neighbors in Oak Hill back
in the mid 80's.  My friend and I did the driveway, cleared off the car, the
front steps and cleared a parking pace for the car in front for about
$25-30.  This was like a typical summit house with a long, narrow drive
leading to a 1 car garage in the back.  Inflation doubles prices about every
15 years right?  So in 2000 you would expect to pay $50-$60 for the same
service and even more today.  A snow-blower is the best way to do it because
it is a more precise tool than a plow.  I used to get my big suburban
driveway plowed in the early 90's for about $20 but there was no hand
shovelling of steps or walkways and the plow made a mess and in 1994 when we
had one big storm after another the plow ran out of places to push the
snow.  That was the year I bought my own snow blower!  I have also since
left the 'burbs' and I'm not looking back!

So, there's some anecdotal pricing comps for your research.
