Curious, isn't it, no one from SNA or Save the Fountain, in any leadership
capacity wants to address this isse.

There have been similar suggestions -- as when weeks ago (before they were
cut) I suggested that cutting trees at Lippit was a bad idea:
- don't worry about it (the project will be a good project)
- you don't have any standing in this community, move on.

Everyone makes mistakes. Unfortunately, this one you can change back - at
least in the next 30 years, there will be gap in that park where there were
great shade trees - and we NEVER HAD THE CHOICE - FOUNTAIN OR TREES! That
was pretty much becuase the SNA and Save whatever pretty much said it was
ok. Seems like the Parks Deptartment relied on SNA as public contact, which
is understandable. THAT MAY HAPPEN AGAIN.

But, when you don't learn from your mistakes, that's pitiful. No evidence
that these groups have changed because of what happened - are they totally
project driven and insulated from the community??? For this project, they
certainly were!!!
