Subject: Community garden

Bob, I have given more thought to community gardens in this neighborhood,
so I figured I would keep the dialogue going and expand it.

As I consider the relative merits of Collyer Field and 9th St playground
both sites have strengths and weaknesses. The key weaknesses at 9th St are
use of the grounds and sunlight. 9th St may get sufficient sunlight, but it
seems that the area that gets the sunlight also gets quite a bit of use. My
very informal and very limited survey suggests that the best garden spot may
be used to much to give up.

Collyer field seems to suffer from a lack of community use, which could lead
to less usage of a garden, but I am pretty sure that is not the case.

I am curious as to how to help a decision to be made. What data would be
useful? Do we survey neighbors and users? Do we do a comparison chart?

What would be most helpful to you?
